P.S I wited hour in mys eellp for this page to stop freezing and when I woke up FF was only consummuing 3 GB of ram so I went on restauring my session. And when I was done with the first window I tried with teh second using the technique of having two windows with des onglets épinglés.

It lagued badly I ctrl + maj + q I didn't killed FF (although it killed itself alone....) Got an erreor message click on tehr ed cross by habit (because I lost on session by restarting via this wondows it fucked up the session restaure somehow)

Re-oppen a new session got a white tab. wait for it wait for it. Wiat for the error message. Noooooooppppppeee !!!!!! FUCK ME THEN ! I have stuff to do I don't wanna waste eons on this please heeeeellllllllpppppppppp !!!!!

P.P.S did it again. I can'tr estaure my session in case of crash and sicne I am trying to open a shitlaod of tabs by restaoring manually it walsy crash !

I wil tell you how much ram but the main issue I was only able tor estaure my session only once this day. And it was one tab !!!!! So teh ram has always been an issue but the main issue is that in case of crash The blank tab neveroad so I never to the "about;sessionrestore.js" I don't even find it in my folder anymore !!!!! If I have to wast the entire fucking week-end to restaure my session by going in my historic fetch soem tabs close wait rinse and repeat.. I would do It no problem It would suck but I wouldn't be here !!!!!! I am here because I can't even do that I tried !!!!!!

there is no reason for that much memory to be utilized for 1 tab.

so your browser could be high-jacked by malware.

this may have occurred a long time ago when you installed software that was designed to take control of your computer.

sometimes, this malware is also designed to start with the windows operating system.

what i suggest that you do, is to start your computer with a "clean windows".

a clean windows will open up more memory as well.

to begin this procedure, click on Start > Run > msconfig

then disable all the startups listed in the start up tab.

then reboot, and retest your browser, and analyze the memory

I had multiple tabs it just retored one tab.. because This Time aorund it wa sjust a test I openned a nab use it a openned a blank tab closed the frist tab ctrl + maj + Q FF crashed, and when I clcik restart FF it worked it restore teh tab I closed earleir automaticly it wa smy first sucesfulls ession restore of teh day.

I know I should adw clean my PC it ha sbeen a long time and I have supicions.... But even when I do i still have this problem. It is more flud yess but FF still this massive of a hog !

if your FireFox is using a lot of memory, then it is because a malware is also utilizing the browser.

Nono I have cleansed with my usal methods. Adw is obsolete but it is the best I have for this bécane. And I think it was the discord tab.

I never use discord without my browser and running the two app at the same is is toorturing my ram....

+ I can't mute/unmute the tab. This why I use teh browser version even if I have the appli installed.

I haven't fully restored my cession yet ... But during the operation I kept the discord and google drive tab closes this time around. And I didn't notice oen processus taking up all the Ram. And even Know the processus that take up most of the RAM is at 800 000 KO....

AlsoI have always restore my session without any crash..... And my Issue was that when FF crash now I remind you this why I openned this topic. This morning when I had this problem and I selpt in front of my PC writting this topic, because with only one page I had FF take all the RAM when I woke up at 14H de l'aprem.... FF was only taking up like 3 000 000 Ko in Total. I could write again.

My supposition at the time was as follow : "FF was trying to restaure my session but it is buguued and I have touched it so it is lagging and bugguing etc."

So peharps now this is over if I crash now I will have the tab saying "Sorry we lost all your tab blahblah but we can restore." (40% of the time where I try to close FF end up in a crash. so I rely on this) But I am not sure this is the case or this tab "about:sessionrestore" is still buggued. I prefer to assume IT IS. And so I am still looking for a way to fix it, thefore I would really appreciate if you focused on that matter.

The about sessions restaure failled me multiple time this day. I told you about I sucefully restored one tab? Yhea I took cofidence and try a manual session restore and the multitab bitch that I was crashed FF and then I launched it again. See the white tab looaaaad loadd and paff stop load a regualr white tab instead of the session restore tab. I don't want this to happen ever again. Becau FF take time to close itself and it often crash during those times sometimes at the very last momeent. I need this functionality to be operational.

It wan always be usefull or used in combinaison with VPN... It is good. I prefer browing with my Mac adress changed. It also tell me how good my co is with more detail and precision than what taskhost can porvide me.

And the rest that is not usefull like sidebare.exe, I can handle it without your advises. Ha sidebare... When game like republic commandos or star wars star fighter where working on daemon tool I used this a lot + I could switch from mod of mannagement of my battry and CPU I had preseted everything to silence mod mod made to avoid overheat etc etc.... But windows disable that fonctionality I trashed my keyboard with water so I can't Fn + space anymore, I am using an external keyboard and My fan died so I am using an external fan.... So at this point I am killing it on launch with many other stuff.

I am sure otehr users had similar issues (even tho I did not find any topic) This tab didn't load on the 24th of april 2021. Multiples times as I manually tried to restaure my session.

And I will repeat myself I can't do any restore now the fonctionality is no longer operational instead I store back up on extaernal disk time to time. This kind of help you are provididng would eb rgeat to help me uninstall some widescreen apps etc and other problem not related to FF. But that is not my priority. Let me reiterate : My priority is the about session restore Tab, I wanna be sure it is operational for the next crash.

the more tabs that are opened, the more memory that is consumed.

my suggestion at this time is for you boot your windows 7 in safemode w/networking.

then retest FireFox and tabs and session restores.

then let us know what the results are.

More tab are openned.. nah more active tabs are openned to be precise. Soem tab get disabled with time.

FF being a memory hog combien dwith my system limitation ain't that of a big deal. (If I have my about session restore tab operationnal, that is.)

ALthoug I will admit. Creating a save of my current historic and session do'nt seem worth it if I don't get any help or advices when I discover that my fear were correct( if they are correct). I am too lazy for that and I wanna void the stress.
