Greetings! Can someone please provide CURRENT instructions for rolling back to old versions?
I recognize the trend to want to fix people's reasons for wanting to roll back rather than helping them achieve what they actually want to do. Having witnessed how that seems to go*, I prefer to skip that part of it.
What I want to do is roll back to 78.13.0. As far as I know, I was perfectly happy with that version. Can someone please tell me where are the CURRENT instructions for rolling back?
Also, is it unusual that the installation is described as "pending"? I believe an actual installation DID take place on that day, as all kinds of unpleasant things commenced to happening. For example, a red count of unread emails appeared on top of the thunderbird "icon" in my tray. The attachment panel moved from the top right to the bottom of the email. A stupid looking bubble started floating up when things were attached. And some other things. Also, the windows "programs and features" appears to be showing the new version.

- It could be an observer error, but it appears to me that most people asking questions just give up and stop coming back here without ever getting a solution to their problems.

If I might make a gentle suggestion...
In retrospect, if only I had backed up my profile prior to making this update, I would have no problem right now. I wouldn't be here. I would have already done what I want to do. WHY isn't this part of the routine instructions? "Back up your profile before making any update to this program"?
I'm just a regular person. I use this program for work and personal stuff, and I rely on my sent mail (and the attachments in there) to backtrack and try to figure things out after stuff goes wrong or gets forgotten or lost. Last night I was able to help a friend reconstruct part of his life (from five years ago) by going into my sent mail and opening an attachment. I would have had NO other way of finding this thing, and my friend would have lost a part of his past.
Possibly your brain and organization system are better than what ours are. But I need for my sent mail to save the attachments with the emails, not disappear them into the ether.

What I am now seeing is that the update to 91.2.0 has a status of "install pending." I'm unclear on why a pending installation would break stuff?
