On MacBook Air, the wifi connection is strong but Firefox keeps disconnecting it in the middle of use even though I have 4 bars of connection. I then need to disconnect wi-fi, wait a second and then reconnect the wi-fi, take a breath and click on the link for the site I was ALREADY using. Happens constantly to the point I use my PC for internet as much as possible. And NO it's not a router issue because PC doesn't have this issue with the wi-fi.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
