Adobe Reader DC automatically downloading PDF files
I just noticed, this AM, that when I'm viewing PDF files using Adobe DC it is now automatically downloading the files, where as, before I could just view them. I've not changed any settings-see attached screen shot. So I don't know what changed. I don't know if this is a FF issue and/or a Adobe issue or what. I now have to go into File explorer and delete all the downloaded files. I would appreciate anyone's comments. Thanks

It is Firefox. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/98.0/releasenotes/
This article summarizes the changes made to download behavior in Firefox 98: How file downloads are handled in Firefox
If you don't find an answer there you can look through these questions tagged v-98download for possible solutions or workarounds; for example, see this one: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1370494 Firefox saves file when "Open with" is selected.
This change is a real pain in the ass. I read the "workaround" while it offers a temporary solution it needs to be fixed permanently. I want the option to change back to the previous settings. Just because some developer thinks this is a good idea doesn't mean the rest of us think it's a good idea. Really disappointed. How do I pass this on to the powers-to-be?

100% agree. When I select a PDF link, and I have PDFs set to open in Firefox, I do NOT want that document to ALSO automatically download to my machine. If I want to download that file, I will make that choice after viewing. Don’t just dump files onto my machine without my say-so. This is really dumb.
