Using the downloader installer so I always get the newest version, how do I make it install silently?
Since slipstreaming a current version each time appears to be a non starter I am trying to use the Stub installer that downloads (what I hope) is the newest version of Firefox each time its run in my Windows Sandbox no matter when I downloaded the stub installer file.
My real question is how do I get the silent install to work? Right now it always brings up the splash screen and a thermometer during the install. I would like to not see that each time I spin up a new Microsoft SandBox.
firefox installer.exe /? -h or -? shows me no parameters, and starts an install even If I say NO to allowing it to make changes to Windows. (which seems very odd) -Bill

How about trying with the full offline setup instead of the small online stub.
That is where I came from. I have to keep downloading and renaming the full install files to something static my cmd file calls. See this post from over a week ago: [Thread]
I am trying to get away from that as those files get updated and renamed way too often to keep up. Hence my new question about using the Stub silently. So currently my Sandbox calls a command file that installs a VPN and Firefox. Since firefox full installer changes its name each time I have extra work to manually rename it so the cmd file can call it as the sandbox is spun up. I sometimes spin up 5-10 sandboxs per day while testing stuff and even when I am searching for things so advertisers have more trouble tracking me. Especially when buying air flights. Its amazing how different the prices are when I use a sandbox so they don't really know who I am and that i keep coming back looking for a better fare.
