Hello,

We spoke for quite awhile this afternoon trying to fix a FF crash problem on my PC. FF 3.6.3 is crashing upon start every time I attempt.

You had me do several things. The last two was to download Spybot and Spyware Terminator. I ran those two, and did remove some spyware, but the problem still persists with FF crashing when I attempt to launch it.

My lastest crash report is Crash ID: bp-4be24d59-1f5d-460b-b6eb-fe4332100519

Since we talked, I renamed the Mozilla Firefox folder, and downloaded a new version of FF. This did not fix the problem.

Any other thoughts that may fix this?

Thank you.

Hi Mike.

You may be having a problem with some extension or plugin that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

Thanks for the reply. I can't seem to get FF to launch, it dies anytime I try to run it, so I haven't been able to disable extensions or plugins. Is there a way to do that without launching FF?

Of course, you just run it in safe mode:

Unfortunately I get the same error message when trying to run in safe mode. I've also tried running via the command line to create a new profile "firefox -p", but it crashes also.

Try a Clean Installation of Firefox if opening in Safe Mode doesn't work
