I download ofx files from Amex into Microsoft money. When I click to download, Firefox asks what to do (open with money/save file). I tell it to Open with money and I click "Do this automatically for files like this from now on." While it does open with Money, EVERY TIME I try to download it insists on displaying this dialog box. I want it to automatically open with money like the "always" option suggests and not display the dialog box. It just won't work. Please help. Thanks.

I have the same asking-box-keeps-opening problem.

... and I'm aware of mozillazine article on "File_types_and_download_actions" regarding MIME dependance. But there should a setting to let FF use extension as its guidance, that is, a way to say "Firefox, just ignore MIME for this type."

Yup, the addon web page fixer solves this problem. Works great in my Linux crunchbang x64 OS. I'm running firefox from the downloaded bin fil located in the /opt directory. anyways, this add on totally fixed this annoying problem. Now I don't have to open chrome to do simple auto downloads! Yeah!
