See Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox : Shift+Ctrl+Del
I tried shift, ctrl & delete, & it worked once, but the rest of emails I
tried to forward, it did not work & I had to do
tools>options>Advanced>clear now.
The Shift+Ctrl+Del shortcut doesn't work if a text input area has focus. In that case you first need to move the focus outside that text area with the mouse or with the Tab key.
Hi cor-el, thanks for responding,
but i must be a bit thick!! , what does "a text input area has
focus. " mean ??
And when is firefox or hotmail going to fix this problem??
If you are typing in a text area like the one that you use to post a new message then that text area has focus and key presses are interpreted as text input and won't work as a command. Shift+Ctrl+Del is one of the commands that do not work. You can use the Tab or the F6 key to set the focus to another part of the browser.
Hi cor-el,
I dont understand, when do I press Shift+Ctrl+Del ,
1) at the page I want to forward OR
2) at the page after I click forward
I tried at both & no good,
I am using Hotmail & Firefox
when I click forward the curser goes to the "TO" field (to whom I
want to address the email to) I press tab then Shift+Ctrl+Del
then refresh but nothing.
If I am looking at the email I want to forward I press tab then
Shift+Ctrl+Del , then click forward & still nothing.
I pressed F6 & Firefox closed ??
Shift+Ctrl+Del is the shortcut for Tools > Clear Recent History
If you use Hotmail and see a blank message when trying to reply or forward a message, this can happen when you are in Hotmail's rich text mode and the message you are responding to contains rich text elements like images. Mozilla has contacted the Hotmail team, and they are working on fixing the issue. In the meantime, you can work around the problem by clearing your cache before forwarding or replying to each message.
