Firefox downloads file as .ASPX instead of .PDF

Trying to download Monthly Statements from Merrill Lynch website. Firefox used to download them as .PDFs (and MS IE 8 still does). Now Firefox downloads an .ASPX instead. Or maybe not -- If I change the extension of the downloaded file to .PDF. it loads correctly in Acrobat Reader. Why does Firefox use the wrong extension??

Trying to download Monthly Statements from Merrill Lynch website. Firefox used to download them as .PDFs (and MS IE 8 still does). Now Firefox downloads an .ASPX instead. Or maybe not -- If I change the extension of the downloaded file to .PDF. it loads correctly in Acrobat Reader.
