when i went to security history it shows a auto download that was installed on 12-31-1969, f.f. 3.6.4 (20100611143157) I'm having problems with my pc too. could this be a virus
my pc has been friging do everything crashing,freezing i have been fighting with it for a couple, few months now. i just went to fire fox auto download & see a security update that says was done on 12-31-1969. so i was wondering could this be a virus? It is fire fox 3.6.4 (20100611143157)

Having the date shown as 31st December 1969 is not too unusual and is not caused by a virus. What happened was when the update was installed, the update process failed to get the date from the operating system so defaulted to 31st December 1969.
thanks for response, i have someone helping me with hjt & anti malware remover. hopefully he can help me fix this machince before i jump out the window! .
