When ever Firefox is updating (automatic update) the updated Firefox is installed in the same folder. By now I have the following: (see Details). Can I DEL the previous version without damaging the latest Firefox version I'm using ?
Firefox 3.5.3 (en-US) 3.5.6 (en-US) 3.5.7 (en-US) 3.6 (en-US) 3.6.2 (en-US) 3.6.3 (en-US) latest and actual version of Firefox running: Mozilla Firefox 3.6.12 (en-US) I use Win XP Prof. SP3. Quite some time ago I did DEL the old versions of Firefox to just find out afterward that the actual Firefox was not running properly anymore and some plugins, bookmarks and the password list was not working anymore, so I had to DEL the then faulty version as well and would have to download and installing the actual Firefox anew.

If you refer to entries in Add and Remove Programs then you probably only see leftover entries and only the last (current) version is actually present on your computer. If you uninstall an older version then you will remove the version that you currently use.
If you are comfortable with editing the registry then you can remove those older entries in the Uninstall key in the registry with the Regedit program.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Mozilla Firefox (????)
Thank you cor-el, your answer most likely will (help to) solve the problem :-)
