NYT pages were stored as FF pages in Documents. Now the FF icon for all docs has been replaced with a Notepad Icon and the Group Heading of Firefox has been replaced by "Chrome HTML." I had downloaded Chrome but did NOT install it. Instead I deleted it.

Currently I must right click on the Chrome/Notepad icon and choose what program I want to open the document.

How do I get all the Chrome HTML docs back to FF?

Thanks.

You may need to verify that your defaults are set correctly on your computer. To do this, go to Start > All Programs > Set Default Programs. Under custom, make sure Mozilla Firefox is the one selected.

Thank you. I checked Settings. Firefox is already set to Default Browser.

Sorry that this did not work for you. You can try this little piece of information.

Go to Tools and then Options. Switch to the Applications tab. Look in this list and see if you see anything that says Google Chrome. If so, change it to Always Ask or Mozilla Firefox.

If that does not work, you can also try to right click on one of the icons that now have the notepad photo on it and then click on Properties. You should then see where it says Open With. Click the change button. This should bring up a list of applications. Find Mozilla Firefox and highlight it. At the bottom, check mark "Always use this program with this type of program"
