Sorry, Mozilla doesn't have telephone support for Firefox. It's this forum or "chat" (when it is open).
That is NOT ACCEPTABLE. My problem has not been able to be resolved using this online support site so I need further help and support. HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN?????
Could you tell a little bit about the problem you're having? We'd love to help you solve it. :)
Can I go back to 3.6 firefox. I have updated to 4.0 with windows Vista
I was forced to update your latest updates, or you would do it for me. Now, I cannot move a window with my cursor. It takes two to eight clicks on my mouse to grab a window and move it. In my work I have four to six windows open at any given time and have to click continueously in order to move a window. Theis is driving me crazy. Since I've only had the new updates for a couple of days I can't imagine what else I'll be finding that doesn't work, either. After reading all the complaints this morning it's obvious you are using us to fix your problems. Good thing you don't charge for your service you'd be broke! Why do you fix stuff that works? And can't fix what doesn't?
Yes you can downgrade to Firefox 3.6.
Here's the link to do that:
Hi genogurl0, I've never heard of this (not that I have time to read every post here...). You're saying that if you click on the title bar of a window to move it, it doesn't work until you've tried it several times?
Can you tell if the window you're clicking is getting the focus as soon as you click on it, i.e., the title bar is full color to show it is the active window and not faded?
I assume you've restarted Windows at least once since the update but if not, give that a try first.
We need to rule out the possibility of a conflict with one of your add-ons. One way is to try Firefox's Safe Mode.
First, if you don't regularly back up your computer, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See Backing up your information. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
Next, restart Firefox in Safe Mode using
Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
In the Safe Mode dialog, do not check any boxes, just click "Continue in Safe Mode."
If you can move windows normally, this points to an add-on or custom setting as the problem. Now, to figure out which one it is...
If you still can't move windows normally, perhaps there is an incompatibility between Firefox 11 and your mouse software. Do you notice any other strange mouse issues in Firefox?
