Bookmarks not imported from Internet Explorer during download of Firefox, yet option was taken.
I downloaded Firefox today to replace IE9. I took the option to import bookmarks (favorites). When I look at bookmarks on Firefox, I do not see anything about bookmarks downloaded from IE. There is no folder named 'From Internet Explorer'. Are they somewhere else? How can I get my favorites into Firefox without rekeying everything?

Bookmarks imported from other browsers are kept in a separate Bookmarks folder. Did you look for a folder in Bookmarks named "From Internet Explorer"? See: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Importing%20favorites%20and%20other%20data%20from%20Internet%20Explorer

I'm not sure what is supposed to happen if you don't have any of your own Firefox bookmarks when you initially install Firefox and to install "Internet Explorer: bookmarks.
But you can do it now from the Library list > Import HTML > From Internet Explorer.
You can also do this from the File menu > Import > From Internet Explorer, where you can import additional items besides bookmarks (Favorites): cookies, browsing history . I don't know why one would import Internet Options into Firefox.
After importing you will see a Internet Explorer folder added to the end of your Bookmarks Menu folder. Importing does not merge, replace or update existing bookmarks and folders -- it just adds them as they were to the end of your Bookmarks Menu. Good reason not to sort bookmarks automatically, which is an option in the "SortPlaces" extension.
You can move things around afterwards and delete what you don't want. You will probably want to move the bookmarks and folders from your IE bookmarks toolbar (Favorites Bar) into your Firefox Bookmarks Toolbar.
