I want to delete history from my address bar permanently. I’ve tried this thru tool and they always are still there. When I type in a letter the sites I have visited pop back up. Is there any way to get them gone for good?

It is not a bookmark - it is just www sites that start in the first initial?

Have you tried the setting here:

orange Firefox button or Tools menu > Options > Content tab

At the bottom, "When using the Location bar suggest"

Try any option that doesn't show History. If they still come up, could they be some kind of suggestions from past searches??
