Firefox won't even open for me to be able to do these things. I even tried shift and opening it I still get an instant crash report

Do you have the crash report number.

Everything I'm reading tells me to do things in firefox such as getting that report number but how am I suppose to do these things when it won't open at all?

You mentioned a crash report so I thought you had a number.

If you have submitted one or more crash reports with the crash reporter but cannot open Firefox then you can still get the crash report numbers in .txt file in the submit folder.

Windows 7/Vista: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\

It's just a pop up that says Mozilla crash reporter and gives me details and says to enter my email and any details and someone will contact me so I just ended up here

lexytiara, submit and follow through the crash reporter if you have not done so yet and then look for the reports as I mentioned.

DPMR, you can only get the actual crash report number either by about:crashes (if Firefox comes up) or in a .txt file.

Which leads to a couple of bugs for reading. It may be possible the crashes is caused by a trojan malware on your system due to something that was changed in 6.0. I have norton as well as malware remover and cccleaner which I do often I'll check all these links and see what I can do thankyou for your help

Alright i ran a 9 hour malware scan and only found two trojans which i deleted. Firefox still doesnt work those posts didnt tell me much so im confused as to what else i could do :( i hate using explorer

If not try opening Profile Manager.

Try this to start Firefox using Profile Manager. Windows 7 and Vista: In the Search box at the bottom left of the Windows Start menu, type: firefox.exe -ProfileManager

Uninstall Firefox from your computer, keeping in mind to delete everything, even the profile. Then download again Firefox and start a fresh install of the software.

I have done a complete reinstall I'll do the other and see how it goes

I did get into the profile manager just shows default i set up a new profile and it still crashes

new update firefox opened when i did it through the start menu and type firefox.exe it opens than crashes than i tried it again and it crashed without opening :(
