I opened the latest versions of Firefox, IE9 and Chrome onto the Google search page, minimized all three to task bar and left them for 30 minutes.

My question is why the big discrepancies between browsers, have I got a problem with Firefox or is this normal? I'm using only 2 plugins and 5 extensions and I have known the memory usage to be 350 000K+ with only 3/4 tabs open.

These are the memory usage results below
