You might need to uninstall or disable the Comcast program "Constant Guard." The rest of the Norton suite should be fine, but this one program seems to create some problems.
I called comcast they said no its not them then i called the software im using for school they said its comcast. i disabled it but its still not working
I did a little more searching. These suggestions seem to have helped users in the past. Since software features can change, I apologize if the names do not match up correctly.
Also, most of these suggestions are 9-12 months old. If you do not have the latest Comcast software, you might update just in case its compatibility has improved. (The issue also may be due to a conflict with your keyboard driver software, but if your keyboard works fine otherwise, I wouldn't court trouble with driver updates just yet.)
(1) Disable the Guarded ID feature in Constant Guard
From the Constant Guard icon in the Notification Area (AKA System Tray) > Options > Additional Options > Configure Anti-Keylogging Settings > Disable
(2) Remove the Firefox add-on
orange Firefox button or classic Tools menu > Add-ons > Extensions category
Look for "Constant Guard" or "CGPS" or "Comcast Protection Suite" or "GuardedID" or "IdVault" and click Remove for that extension and then restart Firefox.
Any luck?
