I upgraded to Firefox 19 and my Norton tool bar no longer works. I use the identity safe feature on the Norton toolbar. How do I get it to work ?
After automatic installation of Firefox 19 the Norton Toolbar has disappeared. The extension of Norton Toolbar 2013.2.4.2 has been set off. I use Windows XP, everything is fully updated including Norton Live Update, but nothing works. You can find the same problem with older versions by others. Why don't they work together to avoid that my weekend vanishes in searching for solutions. All these automatic 'solution finders' are a ruin for an old user. Perhaps you can help, thank you

hello, the toolbar is compatible with firefox 19. as always norton makes its compatibility update for the toolbar available at the same time as a new firefox version is released. please run the symantec liveupdate & make sure that all components are up-to-date (the current version of the toolbar is 2013.3.1.3).

@ madperson: Norton Internet Security Suite and Norton 360 are not the same as Norton Security Suite, which is a Comcast/Norton Product. This is a redundant Issue which happens just about every time I do a Firefox upgrade. I don't know if the problem lies with Comcast, Norton or Firefox. I just know that I'm tired of chasing down fixes every time I upgrade Firefox. The latest version of Norton Security Suite is 20.2.0.19 and it does not support Identity safe, vault or toolbar. If anyone knows where the fix is please advise.
hello, if this is happening for each release this is definitely a comcast/norton issue, so please contact their support and ask them to make updates available on time - there's nothing mozilla can do about that, the release dates of each new firefox version is known weeks/months ahead, so this shouldn't come as a surprise for anyone.
Madperson: Thanks for the response and info. What a surprise that the problem would be with good old Comcast!
Thank you all for your reactions. This morning the problem is solved by the helpdesk of Norton Symantec. The problem on my Vaio XP was extra: the old toolbar was set off by Firefox, but could't be removed. Therefore they had to remove Norton completely and then reinstall the whole program. That deliverd the solution: extension 2013.2.4.2 was removed and replaced bij 2013.3.1.3. I think that these kind of problems could be avoided when we could remove the disabled extension, so it wouldn't block the new one?? My problem is now solved. I hope someone else can use this. Thank you!
I have been told, time and time again that the issue is that Norton doesn't update their tools to work with Firefox when Firefox is ready to update, I would say wait and dont upgrade for at least 2 months after Firefox says it's ready to update then go into Norton and do a "Run Live Update" and it should be fixed... I am looking into OldVersion.com and getting the 16.0.1 version of Firefox and just use that till my parent's computer updates the Norton bar, then I'll update to that version of Firefox...
if it is ready to update, thats news to me cause I just did it and it didnt work...
