The "Application Data" folder in XP/Win2K and the "AppData" folder in Windows Vista and Windows 7 and later versions are hidden folders.

You can only achieve that by creating a new profile folder and locate that folder on the slave drive (Choose Location).
Be sure to specify an empty location that doesn't have any files in it.

You may just wish to find the old places.sqlite and overwrite the existing file with the old one.
- See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox#Windows
- on XP you may expect the path to be
\Documents and Settings\<Windows login/user name>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile folder>
Note the folder is likely to be hidden, and it will have a slightly different name to the current one because of the semi random leading characters
