I cant delete yahoo. I drop down the list and go to "manage search engines". I delete yahoo from list, yet it is still at the top. I can click on any engine, google, ebay ect. yet it stays on yahoo.I can move any engine to top, yet it stays on yahoo. Yahoo, who do you think you are? This is my firefox and I want control. Please help. Thanks

You likely got the infection from a site like Cnet (aka download.cnet.com). I would start using snapfiles.com for installing programs and use the WOT addon.

Uninstall sweetpacks or any Sweet IM related program from the control panel, use the search reset tool and delete a possible user.js file.

Well that sorted it. What is this sweetpacks and where dose it come from? I hate things that think they have the right to do what they want with my stuff. Thank you again for your time and trouble.

I cant stop the kids from downloading stuff.You dont learn by not doing things.Always custom install and un-check the boxes. I think i got hooked up on yahoo and sweetpacks was the problem. But thanks for the snapfiles.com tip. never have liked Cnet.

If the kids are downloading stuff, you should place them on a restricted account (seperate users).
