have crash reports
Here are the crash reports. Believe me, this isn't all of them. Tried several suggestions. Looking for the solution. Thanks for the help Pat

Thanks for all your help. Last night I reinstalled Firefox and continue to have problems. It may be a system problem that I have to escalate to my computer friend in order to make things work. Do appreciate you hanging in there with me during this process. Pat

Hi Pat, the first one of your crash reports is clickable. For the others, can you click through to submit or resubmit them to the server?
The cause of the problem isn't obvious from the first report. However, it does refer to the JavaScript "Just in Time" (JIT) compiler.
You can disable the JIT by running Firefox in Safe Mode. Could you test that and see whether Firefox becomes more stable?
To start Firefox in Safe Mode, hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox.
In the small dialog that should appear, click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Reset)
Any improvement?
Hi jscher2000
Firefox isn't in Safe Mode right now and I did have a problem when it was.
Will try it again after I check just what is JIT compiler and where do I find it to disable it?
I have had Java disabled in addons since Firefox announced there are security leaks opened up when Java is running. Is this the same program?
Clicked through on those reports. Not good at reading them and nothing pops out as needing attention. Is there more I can do with them to troubleshoot?
thanks Pat
Hi 4pat, Java is a plugin used on a small number of sites to run certain applications. Not related to JavaScript, despite the name.
You can disable the JIT compilers using the about:config preferences editor, but if running in Safe Mode doesn't help, then that might not be the true cause of the problem. Or in other words, whatever crashed the JIT is the true and as yet unknown source of the problem.
After you click through, more of the links on your about:crashes page should start with bp-. Go ahead and paste a sample of those into another reply here.
Do you already have more crash reports that have a bp- prefix?
If you have submitted crash reports then please post the IDs of one or more recent crash reports that have a "bp-" prefix:
- bp-xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx
You can find the IDs of the submitted crash reports on the about:crashes page.
- You can open the about:crashes page via the location bar, like you open a website, or open the crash reports page via "Help > Troubleshooting Information".
See:
I check the about:crashes list and only see one bp... report. Here it is:

and here is the info that follows when I click through:

Does this make sense to you? Thanks
Hi Pat, that actually is the one you posted before.
If the links on the about:crashes page are not changing to bp- links, could you click a few of the most recent ones and copy the URLs from the address bar and paste them here?
The two new ones seem to be crashes in the Flash Player plugin. Does that sound right?

There have been several newer releases of Flash since the version you're using, but I don't know whether they are any more crash-resistant.
This is some standard guidance that addresses the most common issues with the Flash Player plugin. I'm sure you've seen some of it before, but just in case:
(1) If you have any recorders/downloaders that interact with Flash media make sure they are as up-to-date as possible, or disable them temporarily.
(2) Disable hardware graphics acceleration in Firefox and in Flash
(A) In Firefox, un-check the box here and restart:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > General > "Use hardware acceleration when available"
(B) In Flash, see this support article from Adobe: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues
(3) Disable protected mode (Windows Vista and higher)
See this support article from Adobe under the heading "Last Resort": Adobe Forums: How do I troubleshoot Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?
Might help a little bit.
