So I wanted to turn off auto complete on the url but even after clearing my history, Mozilla still completes it. I don't want to turn off the location bar or set it to bookmarks only. What I don't understand is why Mozilla is still completing my search if there is no history.

By default, the location bar suggests history and bookmarks. If you want to turn off all suggestions, set "When using the location bar, suggest: Nothing".

There might be an issue with web page URLs that you have typed in the location bar.

You can look at these prefs on the about:config page:

Sorry if I was unclear with my issue. Whenever I type a letter, Mozilla will bring up history and try to auto complete it. I wanted to reset my browser and start fresh so I went to the clear all history tab and tried to wipe everything from the beginning of time. In the image posted, I never visited those sites after I cleared my history yet it still is suggested. Same with the autocomplete of Youtube.

Try this:

   Open Firefox
Click Firefox button and then Options
Within the Options window click the Privacy button, click the Clear your recent history link then make sure Form and Search History and Download and Browsing History is checked.
