I point TBird to a thumb drive for portability - thumb drive crashed. Any way to recover local folders from my "repaired" thmb drive?
Windows told me the thumb drive had issues, which it supposedly fixed. However, Thunderbird could not find my profile on that drive. I created a new profile on another drive, recovered both of my accounts and even restored my address book from gmail. All I am missing nor are my local folders which contain some important stuff. Is there a profile file structure somewhere so that I can find my local folders on the old thumb drive? If so, can I copy them to me new profile on my new drive. I am reasonably tech savvy - I could even program in Assembler (once upon a time)!

You need to look on the thumbrive for a folder named Mail - Local Folders and POP-based accounts store their messages there, usually in folders whose names reflect the account's name.

Wow - that was fast, and easy. Why didn't I think to look there? A simple copy and I'm back in business. I serve on the board of a condo association in Naples, FL. Much of my communication concerning Irma is in those folders.
Thank you very, very much.
