I have 2 profiles setup and a Master Password set for each but I am never prompted for the password unless I go into to change the master password and then it prompts. Windows 7 version 31.1. I have changed the password on both and restarted but still no prompting ever for the password. How can I fix the program to prompt for the master password that is set?

By setting a Master Password, anyone using your profile will be prompted to enter the master password when access to your stored passwords is needed.

It does not prompt for a master password when opening thunderbird, it is designed to protect access to your mail account stored passwords. more info:
