When I open a new tab it sounds like an airplane flying overhead. I already tried the safe mode thing and it does not occur in safe mode I am already on the default.

double checked it says "you don't have any add-ons of this type installed" when I checked. So do you all think I should try downloading again?

I uninstalled and downloaded again but it is still there... I don't think I did it right because all of my bookmarks and stuff were still there. Any other ideas besides getting rid of it completely?

Your profile information is stored in a separate location from the Firefox installation so that if something is wrong with the Firefox install, you won't lose your information like bookmarks and such.
