"The Local Directory path "C:\Users\Howard's Desktop\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\drwaqeci.default\Mail\Local Folders" is not suitable for message storage. Please choose another directory." I have used TB for years and any fix is either in computerease or does not work. I am not a beginner and have tried everything but to no avail. They also don't have a backup (I know Mozbackup) but that it so old and the program should have it's own, and I think is part of the problem when I restore. Too bad but I am gone.

well you only get that message if the folder is restricted (like my documents) or it is duplicated across more than one account.

What is so hard about copy and pasting a folder. People use mozbackup and a load of other things, but all any of them do it locate the C:\Users\Howard's Desktop\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird part and save it in some way and copy it to a new location.

I have located the file and copied it and put in another folder then changed the path to the new folder but then it has nothing (like I just downloaded TB for the first time. When I try and bring it back it won't let me and I then have to uninstall TB with all associated files then download it again and restore using Mozbackup which works but I am back to the same place!
