When I move messages to folders or delete messages it takes several seconds to complete the action. I've tried compressing the database, deleting unneeded email and archiving email. None of these actions improved the situation. Also, when I try to look at the account information for my two accounts (I have 2 email addresses but running one instance of Thunderbird) I can not access the account information, as I am denied access.

I have deleted and reinstalled the Thunderbird application but this has not helped either.
