Hi, Specs:

  • Windows 8.1 64 Bit
  • 4 GB RAM
  • Mozilla Firefox version 38.0.5 (There is no option to enable javascript in firefox 38.0.5)
  • Log from India
  • Mozilla & Chrome user for several years, on Wndows and Android

The earlier versions of Firefox Mozilla on PC worked well with the extension/add-on. It is a wonderful tool to compare price.

On the same PC, however, this add-on works very well with Chrome. No problems installing it with Mozilla. Two problems encountered later: 1) Each time you try and click on the logo to register your email id for price alerts, you see a tiny text at the bottom left which says:

Javascript:Void();

This text occupies the same place which also is the status update point and also shows the complete link text when you place your cursor on a hyperlink.

2) Even though the application/ Add-on/ Extension shows as a menu Bar button on the top right (See the attached Screenshot number 3), the download process shows errors (See Attached Screenshots pages 1, 2 and 3)

Buyhatke Support says I change to Chrome. :-((

In the first screenshot there is a prevention warning for trying to download software, just to clarify does this work after you hit allow?

Please first see these troubleshooting steps for issues with downloading extensions: [ttp://mzl.la/14YNruW]

Second the site is not listed as bad in safe browsing: https://www.google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=compare.buyhatke.com... Please try: Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems

Sometimes this javascript(0) will come up if something is prevented, is there an antivirus or is javascript disabled for this site? Check the permission section of the the Page Info menu when you right click on the page.

Javascript:Void(); is a placeholder and means that there is an onclick event connected to the link or button. If this onclick isn't working then it is possible that the extension is broken.

Are there any JavaScript error messages in the Browser Console (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer) about this extension?
