I am having my computer serviced and was told he would most likely clear my computer. Will that affect Thunderbird 38.0 I am backing up my data on a flash drive, but was not certain if the folders on my Thunderbird account with transfer to a thumb drive. I really cannot afford to lose all my folders. My computer is a Dell with XP. Thanks for the help.

You need to have a copy of your profile. In your case, it's probably under Documents and Settings... Application Data.
