I just installed Windows 10 and Firefox/Thunderbird. On my previous system (Windows 7 & Windows Live Mail), I had four email addresses: one is myname@yahoo.com and three with variousnames@pacbell.net. Windows Live Mail combined incoming emails to all four addresses into one combined inbox. In T'bird, can I combine all incoming mail to those four addresses into a single mailbox in T'bird? How??

For a true global Inbox, you'd have to set up all of your accounts to use a POP connection, and in each account there would be a setting to use the Global Inbox under Local Folders. This setting is not available for accounts that use IMAP.

An alternative that may work for you is to simply switch to View|Folders|Unified. This doesn't care whether you use POP or IMAP.

But View|Folders|Unread works very well for me. This keeps the accounts separate but collects all the new unread messages.

Thank you very much. Your suggestion to "simply switch to View|Folders|Unified" worked perfectly for my needs. I appreciate your help.
