For 8 years on 2 different computers we have had problems with Firefox browser not responding. Our Chrome browser works very well. We like Firefox but every time we try to use it it freezes up and we have to switch to chrome or Internet Explorer.

What is your computer system and Firefox?

What you describe sounds like the CPU is being overworked.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?
