Firefox keeps registering as unresponsive for a second and reloading/refreshing the window repeatedly - why is it doing this and how do I fix it?
While using firefox the programme registers as unresponsive multiple times for a fraction of a second each time, especially but not only when first starting the programme. When it does this it often causes momentary hanging or reloads the window repeatedly. This is done seemingly with no cause. I have followed all of the suggestions in the troubleshooting page for hanging, refreshed firefox, reinstalled it and tried running it in safe mode, but nothing seems to fix the problem. I am running the most recent version of firefox (as of 25/05/2016) in Windows 10, but I can find no other examples or explainations of this problem. It happens seemingly at random, and makes typing or using certain websites very difficult. I have also run scans for malware, uninstalled and reinstalled all add ons and run Windows PowerShell in an effort to find some cause for this problem. The problem is more rapid when first starting firefox, but does occasionally happen at other times, such as when opening a new link or tab. Please help!

Start your Computer in safe mode with networking. Then start Firefox. Try Safe websites. Is the problem still there?
I tried opening firefox 3 times in both safe modes. When opening the programme in safe mode and with internet connection the problem occured once. When opening in safe mode without a connection it did not occur. Also, I don't know if it helps diagnostically, but pop up messages from firefox (such as the one asking that firefox be set as the default browser) also display the same problem. If I didn't make it clear, firefox does eventually stop doing this and become somewhat useable, although as stated it can reoccur during the same session. Please let me know if I can provide any more information!
I've called the big guys to help you. Good luck.
