When making a purchase, primarily from ebay, I'm transferred to log in to my Paypal account.

The account window opens and I enter username & password and then hit the log in button.

I'm imformed of "logging in to account" however this icon just continues to spin and I'm never able to log in.

I've cleared all cache's using a disk cache cleaner and/or Mackeeper.

My privacy settings in Firefox and Mac preferences should not block this either.

I now generally shut Firefox down to kill the session and pick up my iPad to compete the transaction.

Thanks FredMcD, ran your update link and only Silverlight was suspect. Updated that and tried a purchase from eBay. A new pop up window appeared asking to log in or create account for Paypal. I logged in using username & password to receive a "use password & 6 digit passkey to continue". Re-entered as required only to be taken to a "log in to Paypal" screen. From here the process just sat there spinning. I hit the "home page" link and started again. This time I entered my password & 6 digit number in the pop up screen and was allowed through to finalise the transaction. I'll do this in future however it doesn't appear to solve the issue from the older log in screen that may appear if you don't have a Paypal electronic key.
