Dear Foxs

I recently change back to Firefox and love it,but there still the things make me not happy during my daily work with it, and this problem seems has been for several years ago.

It is I have to use Proxy Client(ShadowsocksX-NG) on my Mac, and it works by change the proxy of my network with two different types

  • Auto Configure Mode(based on GreatFirewall list), will use the `Automatic Proxy Configuration` in the proxy of my system wifi configuration
  • Global Mode, will use the `SOCKETS Proxy` in the proxy of my system wifi configuration

For the Firefox, I keep it use the system proxy all the time, but ever when I switch to the `Global Mode` the browser is not working(which works well on chrome)

I have to use some plugin `foxyproxy` to fix this problem, but I think this a bug in the Firefox and I relly hope you guys can fix it.

Best wishes.

It looks for me like bug 624837, so it's fixed in version 56.
