When I tried the beta update of firefox most of my passwords were deleted and I am unable to retrieve them. I cannot even sync with my other computer to get the passwords to load on this computer either. So, how do I get rid of the beta or find the passwords? Thank you, john m

Try :https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode and

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data

and https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles

If need help working with the files in your profile, return and someone will help you with that.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Can you locate an older copy of logins.json?

You can check in Windows Explorer if there is a previous version of the file available.

  • right-click: Properties -> Previous Versions

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
