I started getting error messages when I try to reply/send emails
As of today, I get the following message when I try to send/reply to emails. Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because connecting to Outgoing server (SMTP) secure161.sgcpanel.com failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again.
I called my provider, and they said all my settings are correct. I CAN send from another device that does not use the secure server setting, but that's not ideal.
I am using Windows 10, and have closed and reopened Thunderbird, and restarted my PC, but neither helped.

I would have to wonder why you would be sending mail on port 51246. "Normal" port numbers for email are all below 1000 with outgoing mail normally on 587.
But siteground, a largish registrar is based in Bulgaria and using a Panama address for it's own domain registration https://www.whois.com/whois/sgcpanel.com
The test I just did on the server you note in your error indicates it has no SSL or TLS on the ports you specify. https://www.htbridge.com/ssl/?id=wNooS5lK
Please post the settings as shown in the troubleshooting information on the help menu for your accounts, I really doubt that they are correct regardless of the advice you have received.
Are you using a VPN by any chance?

And now I have a new error message: An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: ([192.168.0.28]) [75.173.246.18]:51246 is currently not permitted to relay through this server. Perhaps you have not logged into the pop/imap server in the last 30 minutes or do not have SMTP Authentication turned on in your email client..

Thanks you. As so often happens, I checked again, followed their instructions about my password, removing it, then changing it and putting it back, and it started working. My settings were not the ports specified in the second error message, and I have no idea where that came from.
Sometimes I wonder if these things happen at the whim of my PC.
And no, I'm not using a VPN.
