We have 3 different computers that are timing out before the access occurs to several online sites. My smart phone isn't affected, just our computers.

On all 3 computers, we can get the home page of our online banking and Facebook some of the time. Other times, these two will not load and we get a "try again" message. Clicking on that will usually get us access. Other utilities online bill pay won't even load without timing out. Our online account with our phone service provider won't load at all, no matter what we try. With Facebook and our online banking, after multiple tries, and/or rebooting the computers we get access. However, from that point, accessing a secondary page often times out while trying to load. Also, on Facebook, Farmville 2 is the only game I can load, and that is only after multiple tries.

Thank you for the suggestion. I've also tried opening my browser as administrator with no luck that way either.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

As a test, disable your protection program on one computer.
