How do I see my dock/tool bars in full screen within an app?

When I stream tv (BBC iplayer, itv, Prime etc) on Safari, I can mouse to the bottom of the screen and bring up my dock or to the top of the screen to see my toolbar (to check the time usually). Why can't I do this in Firefox? I know I can see the toolbar if I use the browser fullscreen button but why is it not possible when using fullscreen within an app? Or is there a way that I haven't found yet?

I am using High Sierra on Mac but I don't know if this makes a difference. Any help gratefully received. Thanks.

What is the link so others can see what is happening? Not the login account but before that.

Ok, I don't have a link but I have attached two screenshots instead. One shows Safari in full screen mode with the top tool bar that appears when I mouse to the top and the other shows Firefox in full screen mode with their ever helpful message that "Firefox is in full screen mode", like I don't know this?? I am just wondering if there is any way to turn this feature on in Firefox or doesn't it exist. If not, why not? (Just in case there are any Mozilla people reading this).
