I clicked on a privacy setting and now my yahoo account doesn't recognise my computer when I sign in. How do I undo this?
In a spontaneous moment I clicked on what looked like added security to my Yahoo account. I can't remember where or how I found this.
Now my Yahoo account treats me as a new/unknown customer all the time and I have to sign in and retrieve a code from my phone to access my emails from my usual laptop.
I also have acquired and extra logo next to my green security lock in my email - a tracking protection shield with a black line through it.
Can anyone help this technophobic fool?
Many thanks!

Sorry for my delay in replying. Thank you all for your suggestions, they were most helpful, although before I was able to try them out I clicked on 'Refresh Mozilla' and everything was fixed.
Yahoo were also trying to help, but I'm not sure the person I was in contact with fully understood my main problem.
I am keeping your suggestions and links in a file for possible future use.
Thanks again!

This would be a yahoo email support issue to find out what happened. It sounds like clicked on a malware and you need to contact Yahoo about it to find out how to remove it.
Many thanks, if a little concerning!
I have been in touch with Yahoo who gave me links to drive myself mad on. I'll contact them again with your suggestion.
Fingers crossed!
I am still open to any other thoughts from anyone else.
Thanks again, WestEnd.
Hi, yes you clicked on 2 factor identification. Bad move. :=}
Since I do not use it I have no idea if this will reverse the issue. Log into your Yahoo account then once page is ready to let you put your mouse over your Avatar where your name is and Click on Account Info.
A new page will open and then Account Security. The top line is the phone thing. If it can be reversed it will be there.
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
I also have acquired and extra logo next to my green security lock in my email - a tracking protection shield with a black line through it.
Click the icon and see what it says.
Firefox shows the shield icon at the left end of the location/address bar in case content is blocked by Tracking Protection.
- click the shield icon for more detail and possibly disable the protection
- check the Web Console for more detail about what content is blocked by Tracking Protection
- "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Web Developer
Add two-step verification for extra security
At the bottom of the article you can find how to disable 2FA.
Want to turn it off? Just access your security page again and change the toggle to the off position.
