When choosing "Open Link in a New Tab" on MSN, no tab created. (Firefox 63.0.1 on Win 10 home 1873.) Fails on Create Window also. Works on links other than MSN
MSN is my home page. I right click on links that I am interested in, choose "Open Link in a new tab" and they used to pop open on my tab line. Suddenly, when I upgraded to Firefox 63.0.1 it fails. It fails to open in a new window also. It just disappears.
Other web pages work just fine. So I am perplexed.

When you say it disappears, you see a tab appear for a moment and then it disappears? Sometimes an overly aggressive popup blocker could cause that behavior.
You can temporarily turn off the built-in popup blocker on the Options page. You can check that here:
- Windows: "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options
- Mac: "3-bar" menu button (or Firefox menu) > Preferences
- Linux: "3-bar" menu button (or Edit menu) > Preferences
- Any system: type or paste about:preferences into the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it
In the search box at the top of the page, type pop and Firefox should filter to the "Permissions" section.
Here you can uncheck the box for "Block pop-up windows" and then test MSN links.
Any improvement?
If not, perhaps one of your extensions is closing the tab. You could check on the Add-ons page. Either:
- Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a)
- "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
- type or paste about:addons in the address bar and press Enter/Return
In the left column of the Add-ons page, click Extensions.
Then cast a critical eye over the list on the right side. Any extensions Firefox installs for built-in features are hidden from this page, so everything listed here is your choice (and your responsibility) to manage. Anything that looks like it might block/close pop-ups, or anything suspicious or that you just do not remember installing or why? If in doubt, disable (or remove).
Any improvement?
