dogpile search fails when typing query in address bar
i use dogpile as my default search. when i type a query in the address bar the search leads me to the dogpile page with the query as it normally would, but returns no findings. i have to then press the "go fetch" button to get the search results.

I was able to circumvent the problem by removing the old hyperlink to Dogpile under "One Click Search Engines" in Preferences. I then followed instructions here: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=318750 and added an HTTPS version of Dogpile. Now when I "One Click" Dogpile icon with a search query I'm redirected to a populated field of search results.

Hello bprince00,
Have you tried to contact Dogpile yet ?
http://www.dogpile.com/support/contactus
In case you are using this add-on :
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/dogpile/
See under 'More information' => Support Email.
I tried to contact dogpile and got this message: "Sorry, an error has occurred. Please go to the Dogpile homepage and try again. If that does not solve the issue, please notify us at websupport@infospace.com." They don't want to hear from me either. Why is it so hard to talk to anybody?
I would try again if I were you, but bear in mind that it's weekend though.
To post a review might be a good idea - some of the reviews mention the same problem that you are facing :
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/dogpile/reviews/
Or maybe you could consider an alternative :
Dogpile One Click search returns 404 Not Found. If I leave the search field empty and click search it redirects to Dogpile webpage.
