I have set the layout in Thunderbird to Classic view but every time I start it, it is defaulting to Wide View.

I have to manually select Message Pane and Folder Pane to get t looking how I want.

How can I make this view "sticky".

It worked fine for me until recently when for some reason Wide View became the default.

Try this: Help/Troubleshooting Information, click Open Folder to open the profile folder in Explorer, close TB, delete session.json, restart TB, set the layout, and see if it remains after closing and restarting TB.

Do you use a product like CCleaner or similar or have maybe an AV product that can clean up files?

If yes, then you need to make Thunderbird files and folders exempt as such 'cleaningup' products can delete important files like session files, passwords etc etc and cause unnecessary havoc.

I have AVG Internet Security and Malwarebytes but not a cleaner product like CC Cleaner.

If add Thunderbird to exclusions from these apps will they not lose the ability to detect malware in e-mails?
