Hi

I have a Yahoo mail account that I'm trying to setup in Thunderbird. All of the folders synchronise up except for the drafts folder. Even if I manually set the folder under Settings > Copies & Folders > Draft and Templates and select 'other' depending if I make the draft on the web browser and try to access it in Thunderbird or, I make a draft in Thunderbird it creates another 'Drafts' folder for me on the web browser page.

Okay to replicate the issue:

1) Open Yahoo mail on the web browser and make a new email but don't send it. It will now place it in the drafts folder on the left hand side. Inside Thunderbird I can see this under the folder 'Deleted > Draft'.

2) If I create a brand new draft in Thunderbird and I open the Yahoo mail web page I can see the draft created in Thunderbird in a new folder called 'Drafts' and I can open the email as normal.

Could someone suggest a fix here please?

Many thanks

Will

Perhaps undelete the drafts folder. Currently it is deleted pending final removal by right clicking the deleted folder and selecting empty trash.

Yes I did see the attachments initially. That is where I got the idea that the trash folder had been deleted.

This image clearly shows the draft folder as a sub folder of the trash. Fix that issue by right clicking the trash folder and choosing to empty trash to remove the duplicated folder name.

The second image probably also shows the second draft folder as being in the trash. you have obscured the folder names, but my guess is the second one as a sub folder is also in the trash/deleted folder.

so until you complete the deletion process for the second trash folder it is going to continue to show up and confuse you.

Hi Matt

Emptying the Trash doesn't make any difference unfortunately.

I've attached a screenshot of the Copies & Folders' settings

What's interesting is if I right click on the 'Draft' folder in Thunderbird and go to 'Properties' it shows the 'Draft' under 'Trash'

'map://user@yahoo.co.uk@imap.mail.yahoo.com/Trash/Draft'

It's a shame I can't edit that path as that could potentially fix it...?

I have exactly the same problem. Drafts has become a sub folder in trash.

Deleting it has not helped no matter how often I did. It always re-appears there. Even manually relocating the drafts folder and then deleting the trash did not help.

Recovering the folder does not seem possible.

I also wanted to just manually edit that folder imap path X'D I dug through the configuration setting to try find a way to edit that path. To no avail!

Then I suggest dragging the folder out of the trash and dropping it on the account name in the folder list.

If I could have dragged it anywhere I would have long done so! It can not be moved at all! It's stuck!
