spell check as you type is not working
Hi support, I started experiencing this a few months ago, I noticed that the spell check as you type was not working in my email ( I use this one for 90% of my emailing) (also one only, its a hotmail account. the other hotmail account, and two other google accounts work normally).. in the options the check mark is on for that feature, I can do the spell check above and that is normal, but it wont auto underline incorrect words OR even if I right click on it it doesn't identify them.. The only thing different about this email compared to the other 4 is that I have a custom coding signature so that everytime i start a new composition it auto loads my signature, (which is jpeg and text ) But this has been fine/working for years..

I have tried disabling add ons and restarting and updating but so far it is still the same.
try disabling the signature and see if that has an effect. I have observed that signature files that are generated in products other than Thunderbird (mostly word) simple are so complex with them including all of the Micrisift word settings and binary components as XML that sometime is just breaks the email compose, some have issues with mail being flagged as spam and other have issues with it being identified as SPAM or a virus.
Perhaps the single most common problem after anti virus interference with sending is a signature.
