SIMPLEST QUESTION IN THE WORLD ...!!!
Hi: I have probably the SIMPLEST QUESTION IN THE WORLD: can someone send me the EXACT DOWNLOAD LINK for Thunderbird Version 68.12.0, please ...??? I've spent over 2 hours searching the Thunderbird Website for the CORRECT LINK to downgrade my recently 'installed in-error' & most recent Upgrade 78 which I DESPERATELY need to downgrade back to Version 68 ...!!! Many thanks for providing me with the SIMPLEST QUESTION IN THE WORLD which is 'strangely hidden' somewhere in the Thunderbird Website ... Tony H.

You can download the right version for your computer/operating system from here https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/releases/68.9.0/
On last step of the installation do NOT select to start tb. If you miss this step then on the error that appear ref profile click Exit!
After installed go to run (search run, select that run app) and write on that small field this: thunderbird --allow-downgrade Press enter and that's all. You will have 68 working.
After that go to Option - Update - change update to manually and disable update service. After that you can search for updates manually (should suggest 68.12 - this one you are looking for and you can update). Please note that you will need to search on add-ons page the versions which are working with 68.* - those with 78* will might not work
Hi: Thanks for your reply BUT - this link is NOT helpful because on my screen I can click the Version I want but there is no 'download' function to click to download it ...is it somewhere hidden again ...?!? This is absolutely basic request for HELP and as such - should be ALWAYS placed 'somewhere-easy -to- find' ...!!! To the relevant Programmers: in advance - thanks guys for your understanding, I'm a retired Programmer too BUT I would NEVER let any user lost in the middle of nowhere ...that's absolutely unacceptable in 'My Programming Hints book' ...! On that link you need to click on the operating system that you have then language and you will find the exe file. Or just mention here what operating system you have, what type x64 or x86, what language you want and I'll send you the exact link.

OK, I'd prefer if you could send me the DIRECT link to be finally able to download the Thunderbird Ver 68.12.0 .exe because I've spent a lot of time just to find it in their Website - for some reason, in my search I can NOT find the .exe file of this Thunderbird 68 version ...any idea why?
