Every time I try to open firefox, it instantly crashes. it pops up in task manager but only for a split second (although if my computer has just started up firefox will open for maybe 10 seconds). this is getting really frustrating. No crash errors or reports. I've tried it in safe mode, reinstalling, made sure I have none of the software on my computer which prevents Firefox from opening. Any help will be appreciated :)

What's your computer system and Firefox version?

Some problems occur when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again;

  • Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
  • Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see

I'm running windows version 20H2

The system details shows you are running Windows NT 10.0

Start your Computer in safe mode with network support. Then start Firefox. Try Secure websites. Is the problem still there?

If the problem goes away with the computer in Safe Mode, the problem is with one of the other programs on the system.

As a test, disable your protection programs.

Hello, Are you using the updated version of Firefox? If it is updated but doing the same behavior then I will suggest doing a clean install of the App. Moreover, please disable all the installed extensions.
