Command under "File" was "email link", now "share". Gmail is my default, but doesn't work. Only option is apple mail which I don't want to use.

Hi, Email Link and Share should still be separate features. Share usually calls up a screen from your operating system, while Email Link usually follows the instructions for "mailto" links on the Settings page. You can review that setting using the steps in "Change the program used to open email links", but I think the immediate problem is figuring out where the Email Link menu item went.

Unfortunately, I don't have a Mac, so I can't get hands on and poke around there. The File menu still sounds like the most logical place to find it (that's where I find it on Windows). If necessary, you could add the toolbar button from the Customize screen: Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars. Does that button show up or is that missing, too?

Please explain the problem in detail. What happens? What is/are the exact error message(s) ?

Many thanks for your detailed advice. I don't know why "email link" has disappeared from the File menu (and I know others have had this problem recently) but I've added "email link" to the Toolbar and it works.
