I just tried to install the latest version of Firefox, but couldn't. Not because the link did not work, but because of 2 different warnings not to I got. 1 was from Windows and the other from Avast. I'm concerned about the warnings. Can anyone help me with this?

jscher2000, Thank you SOOO much! How did you figure it out?

First, in the right column, there is a Question Details with your detailed version information. That is the current version.

Second, your screenshot refers to Firefox.js, which is not the name of any real installer (Firefox installers have the .exe or .msi extension, and updates have a .mar extension).

I can't tell you what it was, but I know that much.

If you're updating via the browser, there should be no issue. You can also download from here. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release

Some protection programs don't like the update/install stubs. Go for the full installer.

Please STOP trying. Your Firefox reported its version to us and it is already the latest version. It appears you may have received some trickster message about a fake update.
