Error Message on update "Couldn't load XPCOM"
I got an Update email this morning for Thunderbird and clicked it, and an Error Message popped up stating: "Platform version '91.7.0' is not compatible with minVersion >=91.6.1 maxVersion <=91.6.1 and everytime I try to start the program now, the same thing happens... how can I get my Thunderbird program to work the way it is supposed to?

This is getting really OLD, fast!
What anti virus are you using? Is it allowed to mess in the Thunderbird profile? Not recommended

Just do a reinstall from Thunderbird.net.
I have no idea what causes this in some instances, but a reinstall has fixed it in every case I have seen.
Thanks, Matt - I did that and the Thunderbird worked just fine - until I got another Update message this morning. Then the same thing occurred, only this time the Error Message read: "Couldn't load XPCOM" and the program stopped all over again... so I have reinstalled Thunderbird AGAIN, and I will see what happens this time. (I now have 3 Thunderbird 'short-cut' emblems showing on my Main Page, btw...) This is getting really OLD, fast!

Seems to be working fine today, after I reinstalled a 2nd time... I use BitDefender & it has always worked well with my Thunderbird program, so I doubt that was the problem. Haven't ever had a problem with the T-Bird before now & I've used it for years... somehow, it just didn't like that Update for some reason. Thanks for your input & advice - appreciate it! :)
Out, here!
